A masterpiece by Guru Dutt. The movie is about the tragic life of a poet who is ignored by everyone due to the lack of money and no marketing techniques. The ignorance is the highlighting idea in the movie, be it the ignorance by the masses or by the classes or by the lover. The movie goes in such a way that the viewer feels the impact of what is being done to the central character and the sadness that is prevailing around the whole time is enough to make you feel gloomy. The script, the direction, the acting, the editing, the songs, everything seems just so perfect.
