A unique concept for a sci-fi movie. It's an unconventional pic about the aliens setting up a colony in African suburbs. The start of the movie is a bit boring, as it may seem like a documentary, but gradually it catches up the pace... with thrills / action ...
The story is brilliant, screenplay and the special effects are a delight to watch!... Cast not renowned, but good stuff from them too.
An official is given the job to evacuate the aliens from a colony (slums), on earth, called District 9, so that they can be relocated at another place. There's a rage from the aliens about this idea, and also from the locals living in district 9 (yes, there r people also in there... living together!). The thrills are nail biting, and it will keep you guessing till the end.
P.S. The movie may seem to be boring in the start, but I'll advise to stay!...
